AFROSAI-E 
The Swedish National Audit Office cooperates with AFROSAI-E, a sub-regional organization of AFROSAI, one of INTOSAI´s main regions. AFROSAI-E consists of 21 English-speaking and two Portuguese-speaking African Supreme Audit Institutions.
Our cooperation with AFROSAI-E includes support with three long term experts at the AFROSAI-E Secretariat and short-term consultants for different kinds of assignments. The SNAO plays as an institutional partner to AFROSAI-E an important role for AFROSAI-E´s capacity building. AFROSAI-E is the leading sub regional organization in the world and supports the development of AFROSAI. Our support can therefore also benefit Africa as a whole.
The present agreement with AFROSAI-E runs until the end of 2012, when a new decision will be taken. AFROSAI-E gets at present budget support from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and the Foreign Ministry of Netherlands. Project support is achieved from INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) but also from other partners.
