Skills in selling companies have improved

The Swedish Government’s sale of the company Vin & Sprit was generally handled well and yielded a good financial outcome. The Government Offices’ experience and skills when it comes to the sale of state-owned enterprises have become stronger. These are among the findings of a new audit by the Swedish National Audit Office.

Positive evaluation report

The INTOSAI Financial Audit Guidelines Subcommittee (FAS) is supported financially by the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank. During the fall of 2008 an external consultant was appointed by the World Bank to carry out an evaluation of the project.

CHAIR OF INTOSAI FINANCIAL AUDIT SUBCOMMITTEE

The Swedish National Audit Office chairs the INTOSAI Financial Audit  Subcommittee (FAS) and is the host of the secretariat which administrates the work. The members of the subcommittee represent eleven Supreme Audit Institutions worldwide.

 

The task of the subcommittee is to produce globally accepted auditing guidelines for the public sector. The comprehensive set of guidelines will be presented at the INTOSAI congress in 2010.
