Actions to appropriate profits from criminal activities – better cooperation yields higher returns (RiR 2010:26)

The Swedish National Audit Office has audited the state's actions against criminal gains. The possibility of financial gain is one of the principal incentives behind much of criminality in society. By increasing the justice system's possibilities of appropriating offenders' criminal gains in connection with prosecution, the incentive to commit crimes can be reduced.
