The state's management of areas of national interest – a barrier to housing construction (RiR 2013:21)
Central government treatment of national interests makes it more difficult for municipalities to plan new housing. Municipalities have not received sufficient support from the County Administrative Boards that in turn have not had support from the National Board of Housing, Building and Planning. The Government promised to review the system in autumn 2012, but no terms of reference have yet been issued.
