Are agencies’ interim reports necessary? – Benefit and costs

About 60 government agencies submit both annual reports and interim reports to the Government. The benefit of the interim reports has been investigated and questioned on several occasions since the requirement was introduced 20 years ago. The Swedish NAO notes that the benefit of the interim reports is limited in relation to the resources used to prepare and audit them.
