About the website

The purpose of the Swedish National Audit Office’s website is to present what we have seen in our audits, in order to facilitate transparency of how the central government and our own organisation function. The website is also to support research and development about and within public administration.

Results of our audits

The content of this website largely consists of the audit findings of the Swedish National Audit Office. Here, you will find all our reports and auditor’s reports issued since the agency was formed in 2003. Note that the English-language website does not include information about initiated and ongoing audits, consultation responses and vacancies. We have also not chosen to present in English audit documents from our audits of government agencies’ annual reports.

For the Riksdag and for our citizens

The main target groups for our communications are politicians and officials at the Riksdag and the Government, as well as employees of government agencies, state-owned enterprises and foundations that we audit.

However, as a private individual, business operator or member of an interest organisation, you also form part of an important target group. You should be able to use the website to access independent information on how government agencies meet their obligations – information that is useful to you if you want to exercise your democratic right to exert influence or form opinion.

Our own employees and future employees, seeking information about the Swedish National Audit Office as an employer, are also among our target groups.

We also have other types of readers who visit our website, such as journalists, researchers, teachers, students and local government politicians and officials. In addition, readers from the auditing industry, from both Swedish and international organisations.

Accessibility and language

The website is largely accessible in accordance with the Act on the Availability of Digital Public Services, with a few exceptions.
