Government grants to adult education associations – control and follow-up

The State annually provides almost SEK 2 billion in government grants to adult education associations’ liberal adult education activities. The Swedish National Audit Office’s audit shows that control and follow-up are deficient at all levels, and that there are clear indications that government grants are used for activities other than liberal adult education.
