Specific government grants – A way towards consistent standards of schooling? (RiR 2014:25)
There are special state subsidies for schools to increase teachers' competence and quality of teaching. But an audit by the Swedish National Audit Office shows that the subsidies do not go to the schools that need them most. Schools with low learning outcomes receive subsidies less often than schools with high learning outcomes.
