Establishment of newly arrived immigrants – are central government initiatives effective? (RiR 2015:17)

Central government initiatives for the establishment of newly arrived immigrants are not effective enough. Establishment in the labour market takes too long and would probably be faster if more newly arrived immigrants moved to high-growth municipalities. Relatively speaking, metropolitan municipalities are receiving fewer and fewer new arrivals, despite the fact that employment growth is greatest there. The housing shortage is a strongly limiting factor.
